Eden Ahead, Wilderness Behind
The days are coming, fast approaching; it is here! A day that will draw a sharp contrast between the righteous and the wicked: between those that serve God and those that serve him not (Mal. 3:18). As previously iterated, the escape route is having a working knowledge of God and His Word. “The people that do know their God shall be strong and do exploits” – Dan. 11:32. As also reiterated, the light precedes the glory (Isa. 60:1): then, “A little one shall become a thousand, and a small one a strong nation” – Isa. 60:22. A ‘strong and great people’ is emerging; Joel chapter 2 describes ‘them’.
“A fire devours before them; behind them, a flame burns: the land is like the garden of Eden before them, and behind them, a desolate wilderness; yea, nothing shall escape them” – Joel. 2:3. ‘Them’ refers to the last day army: men and women of unusual strength (valour).
The final task assigned to the disciples is judgment: “Verily I say unto you, you which have followed me, in the regeneration when the Son of man shall sit in the throne of his glory, you also shall sit upon twelve thrones, judging the twelve tribes of Israel” – Matt. 19:28. But this judgment is not on the last day; it already began when He ascended, and the Holy Spirit descended.
“And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: Of judgment, because the princes of this world are judged” – Jn. 16:8/11.
All through the Scriptures, we find God raising armies to carry out His judgments. It is painted vividly in the Book of Judges, from Ehud to Deborah to Gideon to Jephthah: these are not just sent as deliverers but also for judgment. Unfortunately, not every believer will qualify to enlist in this army. How do I know? In Judges Chapter 7, of the 32,000 men (let’s approximate it to 30,000 men) called, only 300 men were chosen: that is, prophetically 1% of the selection.
I already listed the criteria in previous doses. Will you be chosen? Will I be chosen?
