When we consider the description of Jesus in John 1:14, “And we beheld His glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth” — it describes a picture of man’s original design in Genesis 1:27: “So God created man in His own image...” That image, we now understand, is the person of Jesus — “Who is the (visible) image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation” (Colossians 1:15).

The natural man, however, is void of this glory; bankrupt of grace and truth — because he is deceived and robbed by the devil, “the father of lies, in whom there is no truth” (John 8:44). But through Christ, God has restored to us what was lost: His image, His glory - “Christ in you, the hope of glory” (Colossians 1:27).

Glory, in this context, is the removal of lies and the institution of truths. As written in Romans 8:30, “Whom he called, them he also justified and whom He justified, them He also glorified,” we see that glory is not just splendour—it is a state of alignment with God's image and truth.

A lie is any expression contrary to the will and Word of God. Jesus prayed in John 17:17, “Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth”. Significantly, ‘truth’ is not just any valid doctrinal assertion, but a person. Romans 3:4 says, “Let God be true and all men liars”.

In Apostle John’s visions (Revelation 21:9-27), the New Jerusalem is illustrated: a perfect city built with pure gold and precious stones, where God Himself is the light of the city. Emphasis in verse 27, “And there shall in no wise enter into it anything that defiles, neither whatsoever works abomination, or makes for a lie”. Therefore, the only way into this glorious city is by embracing the person of the Truth, who is Jesus!

The moon, as we know, possesses no light of its own—it simply aligns with the sun and reflects its light. When the Earth obstructs this alignment, casting a shadow over the moon, we experience what is called a Lunar Eclipse. This natural phenomenon mirrors a spiritual principle. 2 Corinthians 3:16–17 states:

"Nevertheless, when it shall turn to the Lord, the veil shall be taken away. Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty (truth-John 8:32)".

Jesus affirmed, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man comes unto the Father, but by me” (John 14:6). Like anyone else, I also asked, ‘Why is it so important that we have a mediator in Jesus?’ He replied, “To walk in the Truth, we need His grace”. The truth had been long established through the Law: “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ (John 1:17)”.  Truth unveils the way; grace empowers us to walk it.
